Most people say Kratos isn’t funny but then this scene happened and i just friggin lost it

Mimir: Ah, a Sgian-dubh from my homeland. Used to have one of my own back in the day. You should take it, boy!
Atreus: *takes the small knife*
Kratos: Yes, boy… take it. We might need to butter bread somewhere on our travels.
Mimir: This is why no one likes you.

Mimir: You would do well to take a moment of silence and reflect on Odin’s cruelty.
Mimir: /after a minute/ And so!
Kratos: Reflect longer.

Kratos: Head, you are full of stories. When will you tell one that entertains?
Mimir: I beg your pardon!
Atreus: He just insulted you.
Mimir: Yeah, I got that.

The dialogues in this game is A++++

these aren’t all dialogue but he really is such a funny, sassy little shit

• giving his greek wine to atreus then chugging the rest of it and saying “ahhh” so seriously

• atreus asking if they can kill something “that big” and kratos basically looking into the camera like he’s on the office

• “IN THE DIRECTION OF DEER”

• the perfectly timed deadpan “i’m going to cut your head off now”

• “you can feed it to the fish”

• did anyone else notice that he pretty much rolls his eyes when freya asks him to get flowers from her garden

• every time atreus is shocked about the idea of someone killing their father and the camera just pans to kratos
